Alfa romeo key code?

i have managed to get the key code 4 my alfa but have to programme it in evey time i start the car via the accelarater n flashing lights. this obviously takes time n would be nightmare if stalled in traffic. no alfa dealers nearby. n the fiat garage said they could try but no guarentee n it could immobolise it again!!!! any sussestions???
