Why do women call a guy who lets her control him a real man?

how come a TRUE man who never lets a woman control him and is willing to slap a woman if needed is called a punk but a guy who is whipped by his girlfriend and believes in that feminism **** is called a real man? what happened to the days when a real man was burt reynolds?
