As a totem insect, what are the characteristics of the silverfish?

I've had one in the same place on my ceiling two days in a row and I knew it had a message for me, but I didn't know what it was. Then one day it was next to my hamper when I had been debating whether I needed to take a day off and I had decided to go ahead and go to work. It was crawling rapidly in a circle (whereas before it was quite still) on the wall right next to my hamper (where I was standing) and I knew I wasn't supposed to leave the house. But I still don't fully understand what it is trying to tell me. So I'm wondering if anyone knows anything about silverfish as insect totems.
