Is this sample of my writing style any good? What should I improve upon?

I honestly only read the first few sentences because they ran on so long that they should have been broken up into 6 or 7. Might need to work on that. Also, if your going to write that type of book, keep in mind that your readers are not that much into details. Keep it brief or they will skim.
