Why do american blacks always claim ancient egypt as black?

I've seen it happen online, but no normal Black people in real life are all that worried about Egypt being full of so-called Black folks. Most (well, actually, all) Black people I know consider Egyptians to be of a totally separate race than them. I was having a conversation the other day with a friend who is a Black guy and he was saying that he wanted to date an Egyptian girl... the way he worded it was obvious that he didn't consider Egyptians to be Black. Egyptians can be Black, or Arab or probably other things too. They are African, but they are not normally Black. It isn't trying to strip anyone of their history to say such a thing, either, KnowSome. In fact, if we want to talk about people getting stripped of their history, FYI, Persians owned most of North Africa and did NOT take slaves during the Persian Empire, which is the largest Empire that the world has ever seen, TO DATE. Nobody ever talks about that. I'm Persian and I really couldn't care less if people talk about it either. It's literally ancient history. Some people just need a life.
