Can Summer's Eve wipes cause infections?

I bought Summer's Eve l wipes and I used them once a day and two weeks later, I didn't feel right down there. I had itching and more discharge with a foul odor. it was horrible. It got even worse when I washed with soap in the shower. I went to the doctor and she did a pap smear and gave me medicine for BV and it worked a little but not enough, so I had to go back after the medication was done and she gave me a stronger medicine and it cleared up. Was it the wipes that caused the infection in the first place?
