Why the national radio stations have a range of FM frequencies?

For example, BBC radio 1 is ranging from 97 - 99 FM, radio 2 is 88 - 91 FM, clic FM is 100 - 102 FM, etc. Why couldn't these stations broadcast in only one frequency nationally (for example, just FM 98.8 for radio 1 throughtout the UK) and then free up the rest of the frequency range to other radio stations?

A friend's '98 Honda Civic Coupe is in a very awkward situation. Since It is an automatic, I umed that you need to step on the brake to change gears. Recently as I was driving his car, My friends knee hit the Gear stick, while I was accelerating, and it knocked up into Neutral. My friend was not even pressing the on on the side which moves the gear up and down. Now the Civic shifts from D4 to D3 to d2 as well as into neutral. Is this a serious problem?

i fractured my hand a week ago and saw a doctor the next day. she took x rays and said that it is fractured. she did not mention the severity of the fracture. she did not reset the bones or anything, and she gave me a referral for the next week. so it my hand will have been broken for one week and in a splint for 6 days. is this 6 days too long to see an orthopedist and have a proper reduction? or does it not need a reduction?

HELP! Stressing over severely chapped lips! TT_TT?

I don't even know how this began but it's been a little over a week and it's gradually getting worse. Transporting a dirt bike?

Help with the oblivion construction set?

I have been learning how to use the oblivion construction set and I am almost done with my first “real” mod. I have a castle and the interiors are done, I have my own enchantments for my weapon, and I know the basics of scripting and how to use the CS in general. The last part of my mod is the part I’m having trouble with I want a companion that I can summon at will (easy enough) but I want my companion to be able to recharge, repair, barter, and train a skill. I have duped NPC’s that can do this but when I move them to a different cell the options to do these disappear, the AI still has these checked and I linked a new merch chest but it still does not work. Do I have to script this in, am I doing something wrong, is this possible.

What can I use to patch a small crack in a very old soapstone sink?

Sink is very old and is used as a slop sink in the basement. It has recently started leaking from underneath. The crack is only visible from underneath, nothing visible inside. I was diagnosed with migraines in 2000. Since then, I have been on several different migraine medications (i.e. Imitrex, Maltrax, etc) and none seem to work. I do have one medication, Fiorinal with Codeine, that helps the best. I only take that in EXTREME cases (wavering eyesight, auras, nausea). The othe drugs that I mentioned don't help and actually, to me, makes the symptoms worse. Does anyone know of any other type of medication that works for them or some sort of homeopathic remedy? Frankly, I am a nice, cute, polite girl... who sometimes does this. Well, maybe they'll get better this year, but I usually have terrible allergies. What am I supposed to get after I take my ccw cles as far as proof of certification. I don't want to pay someone who clams to be a certified instructor then turn out that there really not when I go and apply for my ccw. My one month old and I bumped heads..ouch?

He has reflux, so often, he arches his back and then his head whips forward, because he's too young to hold it upright...I always catch it, but one time he rammed his head straight into my jaw...it hurt me, so I can imagine it hurt him too...I was holding him with one hand and supporting his head from the back, but he just through it forward. He cried for a second then calmed down immediately, and started feeding as it was his time to eat. He ate well, then fell asleep and he seems ok, as he wakes up to eat every couple of hours and he's got some alert time, but he seems to be sleeping more than he usually does... is this just a growth spurt coincidence, or do you think he's sleeping a lot because he hit his head? He's smiling and cooing as usual, just a lot less awake time. This happened yesterday in the morning.

Can Summer's Eve wipes cause infections?

I bought Summer's Eve l wipes and I used them once a day and two weeks later, I didn't feel right down there. I had itching and more discharge with a foul odor. it was horrible. My Iphone got wet, i need help fast!?

so i dropped my iphone in water. some thing kept popping up that said the accessory is not made for the iphone. The home on also wouldnt work. i dried it off with a towel and brought it to school. there, i got rice from the cafetieria and left it in rice for about 2 hours. it was vibrating non-stop and would turn on and off by itself. next, my mom came to school andd picked up the phone and brought it to the at&t store, which they said they couldnt do anything. so she brought it back home, tapped it lightly on the counter to get the water off. then she put the phone in rice again and it slowly stopped vibrating. my father works for boeing so he brought home a packet thing called deiccite which is like strong silica packets that bring water outta things. it was in that overnight and then at about noon i took it out and plugged it into the charger, which worked. i let it charge and then it ccame on and was working perfectly. then i saw that there were water droplets in the camera and so i put it back in there. now i took it out and the water droplets are off the camera, but it's taking forever to load if i click on a simple app or to even press the home on it takes forever to bring me home. what do i do??

I have two firewalls on my network. One for most everyone and one for network administration. I am using openDNS to do content management. For openDNS to work differently for each group, the queries need to come from different ips. As is, all DNS queries that are forwarded by Server 2003 DNS go out to the default gateway for the server which is the "everyone" firewall. So no matter where the admin data is routed (through the admin firewall) the DNS queries are still coming from the everyone firewall and the blocking effects the admins as well. Is there a way to have server 2003 send the queries that come from certain machines out to the other firewall?

make sure you got the liquid drops and not the test strips, which are very inaccurate. It can normally take this long for cycling to do. It took my 55 gallon tank about 2 months. My mistake: Didnt monitor the pH. If your pH drops below 7.0 while cycling it will stop the cycling completely. Get a test kit for pH and check it. I do know thought that Oxygen binds to 4 Heme rings to cause oxygen saturation. When there is a lack of oxygen binding to hemoglobin it can cause a change of pigmentation. Iron is also in the heme group, but Fe does not bind to O2, O2 binds to heme, with Fe still being attached to heme.....Hope it helps.

1987 toyota supra non turbo?

The front of the engine is making a very annoying ratteling/tapping sound in the same general area as the Crankshaft timing sprockets/ oil pump drive sprockets. (thats what the timing belt goes around and underneath) well i moved the belt connected to the crankshaft pulley which rotated the actuall crankshaft pulley itself about 2 inches, but the timing belt connected to the top 2 camshaft timing sprockets didnt move at all... But the car still runs, it just makes that unhealthy noise. What would cause this? Help me trouble shoot! Someone who actually knows what the hell there talking about! No dumb comments please!!

ok....so...i have a dell truemobile 2300 wireless broadband router....all the cables are connected (ethernet from cable router to wireless router) my computer says its connected, 53 mb connection, good signal, but i cant get to the internet. the internet is working though, because im wired to it now for this. My adapter is a Belkin Wireless G USB Network adapter. its been working up until the last couple days. i just bought it a few weeks ago, so there shouldnt be anything wrong with it. ive used the router's control/setup utility and that couldnt set it up. Windows network diagnostics couldnt fix it either, so I dont kwow where to go next. Also: i cant connect to the internet through an ethernet cable that comes FROM the wireless router.

NBC, in an effort to appease Conan, who was itching to bail out of his 12:30 job, gave him the Tonight Show gig, about as big as they come. But in the process they essentially dumped Leno (well, demoted him to a time slot- 10 pm- that has "doomed to fail" written all over it). Leno has consistently outperformed Letterman, who has a brand of humor much closer to Conan's. Think about that: if Leno beats Letterman, and Letterman is a lot like Conan, then it logically follows that Conan will not do as well as Leno. I understand 16 years at one job can get to be drudgery, but NBC is willing to mess up a great show- the Tonight Show with Jay Leno- just so they can keep a guy who, frankly, has been getting less and less funny over the years (I would say Conan peaked just around the time Andy Richter left in 2000). Conan was very funny from about 1996-2001. It was really Robert Smigel's show, not Conan's. Conan's stuff has become old hat and it is utterly inane now- unwatchable even. I think Conan leaving was not a bad idea. But giving him Leno's job is just awful. Why mess up a good thing like Leno? The fact that NBC gave Leno an entirely new show is proof they want him to stay. l discharge but don't know what?

I have a persistent l discharge that i have had for about four years now. It is thick, white/light yellow, heavy and odorless. I have been to the doctors for pap smears and i always ask them to check for BV / STD's but always comes back negative, they say its probably my normal l discharge..which i know its not. I can sometimes see my cervical mucus through all this white muck and its getting to the stage where its unbearable. I have resorted to using tampons and pads because my underwear is completely white and crusty from this discharge and i always feel wet down there. If i have a bath i can see this white cloud of discharge coming out of my . My son is ten years old and has Cerebral Palsy, Profound MR, Epilepsy, a G-Tube (to eat), and is 100% incontinent and immobile. People tend to be extremely intimidated by his condition and even his extended family members won't watch him... ever. So, since we are here with him all the time anyway, and his biological mother isn't working for this reason, is there a way that she can get a waiver or be employed by a respite agency to stay home with him and get paid? Not having a dual income is causing stress on our family, and I (mom's girlfriend of 5 years) am the only one able to work because she can not find anyone to watch him so that she can work also. The boys' dad does not pay child support, even though he has been ordered to by the court system, and he only takes the boys every other weekend. Does anyone have any ideas for us? I would go ahead and reinstall windwos XP. Depending on how old your computer is it slows down over time. I usally intsall windows every 1-2 years. You probably just need a clean install. My old PC was a Pentium III 933MHZ 512MB RAM 20GB Hard drive and it didnt have a clean install of windows in like 5 years so it was really slow and there was no viruses on it. I reinstalled windows and made it 16 times faster. If u do make sure u back-up all ur data.
